ABOUT ME

Hey there!
It's nice to meet you.
I'm Jennifer, an undergraduate psychology student at SFU.
Currently, I work as a Communications & Marketing Assistant at SFU Health & Counselling. Working in the communications field has taught me many things, including but not limited to graphic design, copywriting, event management, and volunteer coordination.

I’m passionate about things such as community engagement, and this is exemplified in my extracurriculars and experiences. I'm an adaptable, resourceful person and a quick learner. The combination of these, as well as an insatiable curiosity, make me an eager, enthusiastic member of the community.

Outside of my academics and career, I pursue a variety of hobbies. I strive to continually better myself; I enjoy learning new languages and travelling to fascinating places. As is the case of many in my generation, I love watching Netflix (comedies especially—such as Brooklyn Nine-Nine), looking at (and creating my own) memes, and listening to music (my genre of choice is post-hardcore and metalcore). I also love arts and crafts. In fact, I started a knitting club at SFU! I also like reading (mostly classic literature and plays, but I also like sci-fi, dystopia, and fantasy), writing poems, short stories, and (I'm ashamed to admit it) essays, embroidery, bookbinding, drawing, and origami.

Please feel free to reach out to me with any comments or questions! I promise I won't psychoanalyze you ;)
