Paliotti's Restaurant Review

The other day, I decided to go to Maple Ridge to try out an Italian restaurant, Paliotti’s. I had heard about it in a Facebook group for vegans, and apparently, this restaurant has an insanely good vegan menu.
Besides, it was summer–I had time to spare.
That’s why I took 3 busses (it took 2 hours) up to Maple Ridge to eat here.
I was not disappointed.

It was like a home turned into a restaurant. The front doors were cute and a little antique-ish, and it seemed like I was entering a cozy cottage.
They weren’t too busy because I went for lunch. I was seated promptly, and I had to ask for the vegan menu.

Now, this menu was LEGIT. It had 4 whole pages, which I wasn’t used to in restaurants with vegan options–usually, they’d have a menu with one or two vegetarian options, which can be made vegan upon request.
I was super impressed. I already knew what I was going to get, but the other menu items tempted me. I had heard great things about some of the pastas (and how the chicken tasted too good to be fake), and I decided I was definitely going to make the 3 hour bus ride back here again.
I ordered the hummus vegetable lasagne. I was given some garlic bread and oil to dip it in first.
I had some time to kill, so I made some art.

I also asked the waitress for the wifi password, which was goodfood. I was to find out just how true this was.

This was definitely very good for its price. I paid $20 total (which included a 17% or so tip) and I was extremely full by the time I was done. However, this wasn’t the best vegan lasagna I’ve ever had–it was definitely up there, though.
I would definitely go back here again and try their other menu options. This place may replace MeeT in Gastown as my favourite restaurant. 10/10.
